Something for the 'Man Cave' perhaps.
I think you could fit a six-pack in the saddlebags.
(I wonder if it reclines?) |
I hope the weather is cooperating and everyone can get out for a ride this weekend. We are hoping for sunshine for a 300 mile (482 km) ride we have planned for Sunday. I think by the end of the day I'll be wishing the Gladius seat is as cushy as the one above.

ReplyDeletewow ! 300 miles ! that is probably the distance between where you live to the Canadian border. Don't worry about your seat, I can talk someone into giving you a "butt massage" (right T ?)
the weather is supposed to be good on Sunday. Such suspense, I can't wait to see your photos

I think it is about 500 miles to the border. That is a long haul. We are hoping to do a loop up to Astoria with Josh and Meg. Should be fun and we'll definitely do a ride report. Maybe Brad will even have the GoPro going.

Deletejust did a google maps. The distance to the end of your driveway is only 634 kms, only 396 miles. Have a good ride

But why does it seem like it would be so much further? That isn't too bad at all..........
DeleteHave fun on your ride! Stay safe.
ReplyDeleteThank you, you to.
Deletehey, those are my tombstone taillights :) have a great riding weekend! happy cinco de mayo!
ReplyDeleteHappy cinco de mayo to you too.
DeleteAnd as for today ....... May the fourth be with you.
"The fourth be with you." Nice. Been saving that?
DeleteYeah we think of the 'May the Fourth' be with you every year. We know a lot of star wars geeks.
DeleteSounds like a great trip. Hopefully, the weather cooperates especially along the coast.
ReplyDeleteHave fun!
It would have been a great trip, but we woke to 35 degrees this morning and between my freezing fingers, Brad's freezing toes and his ill stomach we were prudent and turned it around after about 45 miles. Just wasn't right today. Another day maybe.
DeleteHave a good ride :) That's about the distance I plan to go today as well!
ReplyDeleteI think you will have better luck going that distance than we did. We are nice and warm at home with the pellet stove on and we're okay with that.
DeleteThat seat looks pretty comfy. Wonder where to get one. Dern, why does the header picture at the top of the blog keep disappearing after the blog loads, dangit, such a nice pic too.
ReplyDeleteNot sure if that seat is a one of a kind or not. I saw the pictures quite a while ago and I've been saving it.
DeleteNot sure why the header pic keeps disappearing. Weird.

ReplyDeleteYOU BOUGHT A WHAT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I also had been looking at Beemers etc and I liked the R1200R. Go and sit on one, they are light weight, easy to handle and you can touch the ground. I just don't like all the reported problems like driveline failures and electronic failures.
After all this looking around and oohing and aahing I have come to the conclusion that the V-strom is the most reliable all purpose bike there is and I would be a fool for getting rid of it for something which required more maintenance, smaller dealer network
Your Gladius has a bulletproof motor, it is reliable and Fuel injected. Parts are cheap
All of us keep looking for the perfect bike not realizing that the perfect bike is the one we already own. I wonder which one you are going to keep

Is nothing a secret from you Bob?
DeleteAnd the answer is Max isn't going anywhere. When I have time I will be doing a blog post, but so far I don't have time. Work was crazy busy today and I am just pacing myself to go home now.
Well, well, well...a little bird has told me there is a new headlight in the man cave. :) Good for you!! Looking forward to pics!
