Day twenty-one in the 29 in 29 photo adventure.
.
I am really scraping the bottom of the barrel here trying to get motorcycle content. Attempting to discover old pictures I've never posted before.
.
Here is a pic of me on Troubadour's America. I think this was taken just after he brought it home. I only ever rode it once for a short distance. The forward controls were too odd to me.

That's a very pretty bike. Old material is still good material!
ReplyDeleteShe was pretty when all shined up.
DeleteGood thing we are nearing the end of the month as photos are getting scarce.
sorry you didnt dig the forwards. but judging by the fit on you, i think i would love that bike! looks great on you...
ReplyDeleteI just find forward controls awkward. It was a good fit size wise, maybe that is why I like theT-100s and SE's so much - still a Bonneville but standard controls.
DeleteThe bike becomes you, why didn't you guys keep it?
ReplyDeleteI know the feeling of scraping the bottom... I hope I can still fill the remaining days with somewhat interesting stuff...
I think Troubadour wishes I liked riding the America that way we'd still have it in the stable.
DeleteWe sold it since we knew I'd never ride it, and if he had a choice when going into the garage that flashy Tigress Lucy would win every time and Scarlett wouldn't stand for that.
She is a pretty one that bike. I have decided for this challenge I am not doing all moto - I have a little too obsessed with it already ;) I have been enjoying it, and am glad it wasn't a month with 31 days! LOL
ReplyDeleteI didn't do all moto either. Hard to do this time of year.
DeleteI think it might have been easier in the summer months, but then who wants to sit around and blog in the summer while we could be riding in the sunshine......
Trobairitz:
ReplyDeleteMy Blog has never been about "just motorcycles". I have not deviated from my Mission Statement which remains unchanged from my first post so I don't feel bad about non moto content. In a way the 29in29 project has put me behind on my videos. I still have material to link to finish up my Hawai'i vacation but I need them to sit more than one day because of the hours required to compile and edit my videos.
You look good on the America, but even if you took the bike away . . . (You would still be lookin' good). I have never ridden forward controls either, maybe I would like it but I prefer standard, upright position.

You sir are too kind.
DeleteMy blog has never been about just motorcycles either, but all encompassing what is happening in our lives. Some days that is heavily moto related.
I did think it would be neat to try and do all moto related for the #29in29, but it just hasn't worked out that way. Sure I could have really pilfered the archives and done it but it seemed like to much work and not as much fun.
Memories are great too - I commend you for attempting to post one a day! Well done so far.
ReplyDeleteThanks. It has been interesting posting at least once a day.
DeleteIt might prompt me to post more often after the 29th but I don't think I could sustain this much longer and still hold people's interest.
You look good on the America, and it looks like a good fit. My hat's off to you for giving it a whirl. I never took Ron's bike for a spin, nor have I tried his current ride. My only excuse is I'm inseam challenged. :)
ReplyDeleteI didn't ride it far, just Decker Road. I was riding the Rebel 250 at the time too.
DeleteI haven't tried Lucy. Troubadour sure offers, but it intimidates me. It is pretty tall even for me. Some day maybe, but it would have to be summer when I am immersed in riding, not in winter when my skills are admittedly rusty.
