4/29 for the #29in29

.
Day four of the 29 in 29 photo adventure.

Last Saturday we finally ordered flooring for our home. It was delivered yesterday afternoon. It was a long road choosing exactly what we wanted but we finally opted for a cork floor. Not glue down cork, but a click in tile that comes in 12"x 36" panels. It comes 24 sq ft to a box so we had to order 44 boxes.

Oh Troubadour, I have a list for you......

(Troubadour's honey-do list)

I am very pleased with the quality and color of the flooring so far. I shall try and be patient until we are ready to start the installation.

  1. I guess we know that Trou's photos will be looking like for the rest of the month :)

    1. Well, he gets a reprieve from flooring until the closet project is done. Of course drywall mudding and sanding is no picnic either. I help though, I'm good at cleaning up the aftermath.

  2. I envision the rest of this month's pictures being finished parts of the floor or the handy spouse at work ;-)

    1. Luckily while drywall mud is drying we can get out for rides. Was a beautiful day today and we rode to coffee and then a nice ride in the sunshine to Salem and back after.

    1. Will definitely take before and after pics of each room. We are super excited to finally have flooring after 5 years. Cork seemed to be the best fit and Lowe's has the best price too.

why is it I'm smiling. Lucky thing Troubadour's Sprag Clutch is fixed, otherwise he would be stuck at home with no wheels

    1. You're smiling because you're always smiling Bob. One of the many things we love about you.

And yes he is very happy to have his wheels back. Stuck at home with no wheels and only honey do projects is no fun.

  6. Cork is exciting. I always went between cork and bamboo. Didn't choose either since we didn't want to spend that money on this house. Let me know what think. I love the color.

    1. It was a tough decision, but now that we've ordered it and it is here we are super glad we picked the cork. We don't want to move any time soon so we figured when we renovate, renovate for us not for resale.

Glad you like the color. It has more red tones in it that we thought, but that is a good thing.

  7. I love the cork floor. We are thinking that or bamboo for our kitchen. Please post pics after you put it in.

    1. We'll post pics for sure. I've heard that if you drop a glass on cork it can bounce because it is forgiving, unlike hardwood or bamboo where it can break because of the hardness. Not sure if that is true or not.
