24/29 for the #29in29

.
Day twenty-four in the 29 in 29 photo adventure.

There was a pretty sunrise yesterday morning and I attempted to get a few pics, but they didn't turn out.

So I went digging and found these of a sunrise from last year or the year before. We don't always see the brilliant sunrises but managed to catch this one looking out over the backyard while getting ready for work one morning.

Try taking the camera OFF "autoISO" . Set it for something line ISO100 or ISO200. Then use Exposure Comp and try for -1EC to start, sometimes it looks better with a bit more minus. Look at your LCD for desired effect.

but other than that, I liked your sunrise with those light trails. You can get the same effect in the forest with light streaming through the trees

    1. Now, if Canon was kind enough to give me a fricken paper manual rather than just a stoopid disk I'd probably know how to use the programmable features on my camera. Right now I can flip the switch off of 'auto' and onto 'program' and fiddle with the buttons just long enough to get frustrated and lose the shot I'm looking for.

Some day when I find some spare time (maybe while Troubadour is training next weekend) I'll play with it or find the disk and see if it will play in the iMac and read what all the programs on the camera are for and what they do. Until then I'm on auto pilot or auto photo as the case may be.

Oh, and I think Troubadour has some of the light through the trees shots from last year...... he is crafty that way.

    1. Thanks Bluekat.

Sure wish I could have started today with a little sunrise instead of the rain and wind. Oh well, soon it will be summer and if I'm up early enough I'll catch the dawn.
