Seasons Greetings from Oregon

We aren't big into holidays, no real surprise there.

But, having said that, I wanted to wish all our moto-blogging buddies out there in the interweb a very Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, Seasons Greetings, Joyeux Noel, Feliz Navidad, Frohe Weihnachten, Glaedelig Jul, Meri Kirihimete, Bon Natale, Kala Christouyenna, Mele Kalikimaka, Krismasasaya Shubhkaamnaa, Nollaig Shona Dhuit, Chag Molad Sameach, etc, etc

And because Portland's unofficial motto is "Keep Portland Weird", here is a Holiday picture for you.

Disclaimer:  While we may think we look cool on our motorcycles or scooters, we'll probably never be Darth Vader dressed as Santa in a kilt, riding a unicycle and playing flaming bagpipes cool.

  2. Seasons greetings to you, too. And while neither are we into these holidays, our families are, and we will play along nicely this year ;-)
I hope you get to enjoy a few days off, and relax.

    1. Thank you, to you and Roland as well.

So good of you to play along nicely for the family too. We gave that up years ago.

We have a 4-day weekend and if it ever stops raining we'll get out and enjoy it.

  3. Merry Christmas to you, Troubadour et al!

I'd seen a picture of the kilted darth vader bagpipe player....just didn't know flames were involved. Truly cool.

    1. Thanks Dom. Merry Christmas to you and Martha and the kids.

The Unipiper, if you google him, comes up with videos of his riding and playing. He does one of the Star Wars theme I believe. I can't remember if flames are involved in that one or not.

  4. Happy Moto Days! I wonder if we got our bikes to throw a little flame through the exhaust if we could look slightly cool! Cheers you guys!

    1. Happy Moto Days to you, Kirk and Diva jr. Give Pucha a tummy rub for me.

The only problem with flames out the exhaust is that I am just klutzy enough I'd manage to catch a pant leg on fire. Not a cool look, lol.

  5. Merry Christmas from the Southern Hemisphere. Hope you guys get a white Christmas (whatever that is) and it looks like we're finally going to start getting some summer.

Looking forward to the 2015 blogs!

    1. Thanks Andrew.

White Christmas? Don't swear like that. Luckily we woke to 51˚F (10.5˚C) and pishing down rain instead of snow. At least we can live vicariously through the southern blogs during our winter.

    1. Thanks Richard. Merry Christmas to you and Bridget as well.

As far as Portland being weird, I'd google "Portland weird" pictures, but I am slightly afraid of what I'd find. The naked bike ride perhaps?

  9. I LIKE the Unipiper! He's much better than Madison's near naked scooter rider in a mask. Uck.

Enjoy the colors and lights and happiness of others. Doesn't happen that often that people get together on anything anymore- especially with a smile! Christmas is a wish of how people could be, should be. That's worth celebrating. Merry Christmas!

    1. Near naked scooter rider, that sounds like someone asking for frostbite.

If the weather is nice tonight we'll probably go for a walk and look at the lights around the neighborhood. Enjoy your day today as well.

    1. Considering it is just the top of a Santa suit, yes weird.

  14. Unipiper? LOL! I hope you enjoyed the holiday, even if just the time off is your thing.

We'd be less "into" the whole holiday thing if it weren't for our family. I was even thinking about not decorating, but we had Christmas guests who would probably have been disappointed. Happy New Year!
