You know you're vegan when the Vehicle Identification number (VIN) on your brand new motorcycle has the word KALE in it.
Thank you to Troubadour for pointing this out.

Oh, and need I mention the rains have returned. We did enjoy 3-4 days of sunny weather though - while we were at work. And here we are almost half way through month 8 of rain........

Too funny! And yes the rains have returned, I am now dubbing spring "Sprinter" combination for spring/winter. Its cold here and we still have a winter quilt on the bed and I heard the furnace kick in early this morning. I did see a map of predicted Canadian summer temps earlier in the week and anything past Vancouver up north in the province and past the rockies is going to get hot temps. Coastal BC is supposed to be mild cooler temps, apparently the blob of warm water sitting off the coast last summer has disappeared and our temps are back to normal and rainy weather.
ReplyDeleteFingers crossed it isn't like some years which feels like a switch is flipped. We go from cold rain to dry extreme heat almost overnight with no transition. We'll see how this year goes.
DeleteHahaha!
ReplyDeleteI reckon that the weather over the whole world is totally screwed up. The remains of yet another tropical cyclone is hitting NZ's north island and dumping a month's rain in a day. Mercifully, most of it is missing where we live this time round - crazy stuff. May your summer be a glorious one!
Here's hoping you don't get anymore landslides Geoff.
DeleteI thought the new motorcycles were waterproof. Might need to get a big box of Hefty Trash Bags and cut some holes in them.
ReplyDeleteOh, wait. Stella hasn't gotten wet yet either.
Technically the bike is waterproof, it is the rider that is a weather weenie and is sick of rain. I don't mind getting rained on when out but I really hate setting off in it. Steamed visor I can't see out of, dripping when you stop at a coffee shop, etc. And I have new tires.
DeleteKale, tried it, it was "ok"....as to weatherproofing....you know the saying is there's no bad riding weather, just bad riding gear.... :)
ReplyDeleteKale is good if prepared properly. Sometimes it is definitely better than others. We personally don't eat a lot of it, but there are folks that think that is all vegans eat. Well, that and tofu, lol.
DeleteI have good waterproof riding gear, just don't find riding in the wind and rain as enjoying able as a cloudy or sunny day.
Not sure what a kale is....
ReplyDeleteAs Geoff says, very wet here again. New roomie not liking going outside in the rain in the middle of the night to take care of business...takes some persuading...
Kale is what your food eats, lol.
DeleteAnd for the record, I'm with your new roomie, I wouldn't like going outside in the rain in the middle of the night to squat either.
I'm not sure what I'd do with kale. I usually buy pak choi because it's good with Asian food.
ReplyDeleteAs for the weather it has been very dry here. The TV weatherman said that Edinburgh had 4mm of rain in April - more like desert conditions than Scotland.
I like kale in a salad or in soup, not such a fan of it just sautéed like greens though.
DeleteWow, you've really had dry weather for spring in Scotland. Enjoy!
That just means the bike was meant to be. =) Sorry to hear about the rain. Do you at least hike in it?
ReplyDeleteWe do hike it in. Sometimes with proper gear, sometimes not......
DeleteI was reading the VIN as K-ALE when filling out paperwork, it was actually Brad that put the two together. Funny since he likes beer and I am not a fan. I prefer hard alcohol, does that count?
ReplyDeleteIt only rains here on days that end in Y. Or the standard joke - Do you know what follows two days of rain in Oregon? Monday......
Lol on the VIN, how apropos! Bummer about the rain. I really look forward to hearing more about your new bike experience!
ReplyDeleteWe finally have sunshine. We were out of state camping this last weekend but temperatures actually made it to 90 here in the valley. Woohoo.
