Patiently Waiting For Spring Challenge

.
The coast is shut down due to snow and we had big flakes falling on us during our morning commute, although the snow didn't stick here in Corvallis.
As the rain falls I am waiting not so patiently for Spring.
I am bored at work this morning so I turned on Photo Booth on the iMac and took a few photos.
I know most computers and/or monitors now have built in web cams, so for those that do, I challenge you to take a few self portraits on the web cam and put them on your blog.  Something to help us on the wet West Coast wait for the rains to pass.
If you do not have a web cam feel free to take a picture of yourself sitting at your computer or laptop using the self-timer on your digital camera or have a friend or family member take a picture.  No one gets left out.
What follows are my two contributions to get the challenge started.

  2. No web cam on my puter also, beside I would probably freak you out if I took a pic, mornings are not my best times.

    1. c'mon you can put up a pic. I don't usually post pics of myself either unless they are riding pics but I did.

Be creative - wear your helmet....... hold a cat in front of your face, something.

    2. Roger:

come on, you can do it ! Wear your helmet backwards

    1. Thanks Bob. If you don't have photo booth take a picture of yourself and use a different photo to play with it or just be creative at the outset. You can do it.

  10. Oh. I didn't see this yesterday. Must have been out enjoying the day. And then I fell asleep! OK. I said I would not reappear since my cover as the Dark Elf was important to my status, but I'll do it just for you.

Glad we were able to introduce you to some new blogs.

PS - I'm still jealous of your weather!!!

    1. Glad you posted some Lori. I added your link in the body of the post.

Sooooo jealous of your weather too. 45˚ and pouring rain for days on end sucks big time. I am hoping it dries out by Saturday, but the news says over 3 inches of rain might be on the way. Doh!

  13. I am looking at your photos again and I have to smile. I like thinking that someone in your office was watching you pose and smile. That's pretty funny. Really sweet photos, too, by the way.

    1. Thank you for the nice compliment.

No one was around. It was just me. Quite often in the office it is just me. The two attorney's are back in their offices or at court/jail and the other secretary is off doing something.

  18. Only for you would I do this. It is just a photo of me at my desk. I wish I knew how to do bubbles or even a few simple effects, but I don't. It was so nice to see the faces of the folks behind many of the blogs I follow, it just seem cheating to look without sending something along, even if it is terribly mundane.

It is nice to put a face to the blogs of our friends we share so much with.

    1. You are welcome, lol. Think of all the fun you'll have.

Did it make you do a lot of updates? It seems my iMac is always wanting me to update software - mostly iTunes though.

    2. No, I have it check and dowload any updates every Tuesday evening. So always up to date.

    3. That is a smart move. I have the iMac here at home set up to auto check but usually when it comes up I don't want to restart so I click 'not now' then when I do have time there are a ton to update.

I don't think there are any rules and no hall monitor so you're okay.

  21. I didn't find your challenge until today, Thursday. I'm sorry but I can't didn't do the photo, I went riding today instead. Rode up to one of our lovely lakes and had a cold soda while sitting under the shade of a nice tree by the blue water. I left my jacket on the bike, the light jacket, it was too warm to ride with the heavy one and too warm off the bike for the light one. >insert insane, happy laughter<

    1. Oh snap!

I supposed we've teased everyone about their poor weather every once in a while so it is our turn to be teased about someone's nice weather.

I am glad you are getting great riding weather, but at the same time I'm jealous and I wish we were.

  22. Great idea! But I'd better wait until later in the day to do any snapping. :-)
