The coast is shut down due to snow and we had big flakes falling on us during our morning commute, although the snow didn't stick here in Corvallis.
As the rain falls I am waiting not so patiently for Spring.
I am bored at work this morning so I turned on Photo Booth on the iMac and took a few photos.
I know most computers and/or monitors now have built in web cams, so for those that do, I challenge you to take a few self portraits on the web cam and put them on your blog. Something to help us on the wet West Coast wait for the rains to pass.
If you do not have a web cam feel free to take a picture of yourself sitting at your computer or laptop using the self-timer on your digital camera or have a friend or family member take a picture. No one gets left out.
What follows are my two contributions to get the challenge started..
|(C'est Moi - using color pencil sketch in Photo Booth)|
|(C'est Moi - another colored pencil sketch on Photo Booth)|
Anyone up for a fun but simple challenge?

Edit - the following have been up for the challenge, stop by and say hello

I wont scare you with a pic of my ugly mug, but I will tease you with our local weather forecastReplyDelete
Putting up that weather link is so cruel. I'm jealous of your weather.Delete
No web cam on my puter also, beside I would probably freak you out if I took a pic, mornings are not my best times.ReplyDelete
c'mon you can put up a pic. I don't usually post pics of myself either unless they are riding pics but I did.Delete
Be creative - wear your helmet....... hold a cat in front of your face, something.
come on, you can do it ! Wear your helmet backwards
Riding the Wet Coast
Backwards sounds painful, lolDelete
Thanks for posting up Roger. You did a great job.Delete
After a run but you asked for it :-)ReplyDelete
Good job. We don't care if you are sweaty in the photo, you are playing along so that is cool.Delete
Nice photo ! Hmm, I don't have photobooth, I have to think . . .
Riding the Wet Coast
Thanks Bob. If you don't have photo booth take a picture of yourself and use a different photo to play with it or just be creative at the outset. You can do it.Delete
Pulling out the camera now....ReplyDelete
I have some portraits around here somewhere i'll take one tomorrow when i'm still in the work clothes!ReplyDelete
Cool, thanks for playing along.Delete
Okay, DONE !
Riding the Wet Coast
Great job Bobskoot. Thanks for playing along. I can always count on you.Delete
You asked for it!ReplyDelete
YAY, nice and creative, thank you.Delete
Here you go!ReplyDelete
YAY, great job.Delete
Nice to see everyone's mugs. Thanks for participating.
Oh. I didn't see this yesterday. Must have been out enjoying the day. And then I fell asleep! OK. I said I would not reappear since my cover as the Dark Elf was important to my status, but I'll do it just for you.ReplyDelete
Thanks so much for participating. It is nice to see all of our blogging friends once in a while.Delete
And can you be a Dark Elf is you are blonde?
I just met some blogs for the first time thanks to this challenge. :) Lookin' good, y'all!
Thanks Fuzzy. I have to give Troubadour credit though since he suggested I make it into a challenge.Delete
Glad we were able to introduce you to some new blogs.
PS - I'm still jealous of your weather!!!
Very cute! So I went ahead and posted a couple. Spring has sprung here with temps at 80F. Too soon!!!ReplyDelete
Spring Has Sprung
Glad you posted some Lori. I added your link in the body of the post.Delete
Sooooo jealous of your weather too. 45˚ and pouring rain for days on end sucks big time. I am hoping it dries out by Saturday, but the news says over 3 inches of rain might be on the way. Doh!
I am looking at your photos again and I have to smile. I like thinking that someone in your office was watching you pose and smile. That's pretty funny. Really sweet photos, too, by the way.ReplyDelete
Thank you for the nice compliment.Delete
No one was around. It was just me. Quite often in the office it is just me. The two attorney's are back in their offices or at court/jail and the other secretary is off doing something.
PS. Not being dark is part of my disguise....ReplyDelete
Damn, then I blew it by calling it out didn't I? My bad.......Delete
Ok, now I have figured out how to do it, and posted one, too.ReplyDelete
Great job Sonja - I have you added to the original post now too.Delete
...still don't know where that d*** webcam is!
Yay. iPhone's work too. Wonder if you'll ever find the webcam. Either way the pic is great.Delete
You've been added to the original post too.
Okay, okay! I'll play! I like the comic strip effect, but I might try to surprise you with something a bit... strange. Hmmmm.ReplyDelete
Yay, very creative and the most colorful too, good job.Delete
I've added you to the original post. We've got almost a dozen now.
Only for you would I do this. It is just a photo of me at my desk. I wish I knew how to do bubbles or even a few simple effects, but I don't. It was so nice to see the faces of the folks behind many of the blogs I follow, it just seem cheating to look without sending something along, even if it is terribly mundane.ReplyDelete
Sometimes it is a step out of the comfort zone, I know. But I appreciate it.Delete
It is nice to put a face to the blogs of our friends we share so much with.
Thanks you again for participating.
I have never even launched PhotoBooth before today. Thanks to you, I can't say that anymore... ;-}ReplyDelete
You are welcome, lol. Think of all the fun you'll have.Delete
Did it make you do a lot of updates? It seems my iMac is always wanting me to update software - mostly iTunes though.
No, I have it check and dowload any updates every Tuesday evening. So always up to date.Delete
That is a smart move. I have the iMac here at home set up to auto check but usually when it comes up I don't want to restart so I click 'not now' then when I do have time there are a ton to update.Delete
Is it okay if I catch you tomorrow on the waiting for spring ... believe me it'll be better in the morning.ReplyDelete
I don't think there are any rules and no hall monitor so you're okay.
I didn't find your challenge until today, Thursday. I'm sorry but I can't didn't do the photo, I went riding today instead. Rode up to one of our lovely lakes and had a cold soda while sitting under the shade of a nice tree by the blue water. I left my jacket on the bike, the light jacket, it was too warm to ride with the heavy one and too warm off the bike for the light one. >insert insane, happy laughter<ReplyDelete
I supposed we've teased everyone about their poor weather every once in a while so it is our turn to be teased about someone's nice weather.
I am glad you are getting great riding weather, but at the same time I'm jealous and I wish we were.
Great idea! But I'd better wait until later in the day to do any snapping. :-)ReplyDelete
We'll be waiting........ :-)Delete
Sunny and unusually warm in Chicago...I am afraid of enjoying it too muc.ReplyDelete
I heard on the news the other day it was 80˚ in Chicago and thought of you. Figured you'd be out enjoying the warm weather.Delete
